Cynthia K. Perkins: Author of 100's of Novel Studies
Hi, my name is Cynthia K. Perkins. I have been writing curriculum since 2008 because I was frustrated with the textbooks in the middle school where I taught. As an ELA teacher, I specialize in creating novel studies for 4th grade through 8th grade for chapter books and popular novels used in the classroom. My book studies are good for whole group or independent study. They can be used for differentiation of learning. Novel study and language arts activities include paragraph writing activities, inference questions, character analysis, vocabulary activities, literary terms, figurative language activities, and other prereading, active-reading, and post-reading activities. These studies also work for online and distance learning.
